Need rear bumper photos/ideas for my K5!

View attachment 119945 31.jpg I threw this together pretty quick. I didn't want to be wider than the body, The top tube is right under my open tailgate, and the bottom tube was in a straight line from the factory bumper mounts.

32.jpg The recovery hooks are bolted to the frame.

JIMMY 011.jpg The little vertical posts prevent the strap from sliding off in case I need to get pulled directly sideways.
I picked up a license plate holder that flips up to pump gas & mounted it upside down.

JIMMY 158.jpg Later on I added a skid plate to protect the gas tank.

Can anyone advise why i cant see the photos in this post?

I kinda like this one:whistle:

That top one is almost exactly what i am looking for. do you know who made them? i am looking for the same thing except with the lugs for D-ring shackles to hook up to, and a hitch receiver in the middle. Do you have any photos of how the supports were fabricated or connected?
thanks.

Everyone of those bumpers are a mirror image of each other. I built them. I will see about getting some frame attachment pics in the next couple of days.

Here is a how-to on building them. I just built the last one for $100.95, You can buy the D-rings on ebay for 21 bucks shipped, thats what the local steel shop wanted a piece.

Would 2x6 work just as well? I have a 10' piece in the back yard.

Like the rear bumper. Also noticed the front bumper in the pic for the August ROM. Do you have dimensions and sketches of both? Great looking rig :)
