Looking for sliders for 1986 K5. who makes em and where can i get em?
DP_90K5 makes the best looking slider/bumpers/spare tire carrier I've seen.

got my sliders there, will start puttin them opn weekend after next, looks like alot of work, but they are very stout, 4X4 iron's stuff is very good, and thier customer service is excellant, i willl absoultly buy from them again

response to K5 Sliders

Hey those look great, but im looking for the square sliders... i just personally like the way they look better. but thanks for the relply with the pic. what else have you done to your K5? Im trying to think of ways (cheap ways) to increase power and torque... any suggestions? Im going down to Line-X this afternoon to get a quote on spraying the interior of the truck with the truck bed liner. Just for looks and also utility. Its a big project as we all know to have one of these things haha. Take it easy man...

Something like this? http://community.webshots.com/photo/122906310/157520894ZjTDvCMyself and another member here made these and installed them on my truck. They are 2 pieces of 1.5" .250 wall square tube welded together with a 1" round tube kicker bar.

The only thing I would do different is to add in more of the little support tubes on the kicker bar. I have bent the kicker tubes in some from smacking them hard on rocks.

Are you looking for an integrated slider or a bolt on? My sliders are like 4x4 Iron's sliders, integrated. You have to actually cut the rocker box out along with the lower section of the quarter panel and fender to get these to work. The benefit is alot of added ground clearence.

Here is a pic with mine, not a close up but the best I have. They are made by 4X4 Armor (obviously), and I just have them welded to the frame. Work Great! :thumb:
