I always thought the 4l80e was fairly strong.

I was too until a few years ago when I started researching and asking questions.Well, looks like I’m the idiot who gives poor advice
They are strong stock compared to a stock 4l60. Same way a stock th400 is strong compared to a th350. Bit none of those have ever been in front of a modern diesel capable of 8-900 ft lbs with just a tune.
The 47re is a terd burglar, but at least it was designed (poorly) to function with the Cummins. If you’ve already upgraded it I can’t believe we even needed a thread to discuss putting in a worse trans. You’re clearly capable enough to do it the right way with the harness.
