ok so i woke up late... around 3:40 :o.... so i walked out to the garage. installed the swaybar with the new brackets... installed the springs (with some issues) and got the axle back under the sub... but there i was one little problem... no matter how much i try to extend it... the front driveshaft will not reach the transfer case... it needed about 2 inches... then i tightened the u-bolts... put the tires back on... and now it needs around an inch to connect... anybody else encounter this... its a 6" rough country lift. if not... does anybody make a 1" spacer that i could buy for cheap? ?

i had this problem too. i got the bds 6" and my front shaft didn't reach. dropped the t-case and everything. i had a new one made to reach the front 10bolt. keep the old one if you plan on running a D60. the one i had made was too long when i went to a D60. i had to go get another stock one.

sounds like the thing to do... i'm probably going to end up buying an 8" bds kit and put this one on my show burb later on. so the new driveshaft sounds good.

ok so superlift sells one... but with the shaft almost completely out... would it be ok for a trail rig? also... if i am to buy a driveshaft... would i have to buy new u-joints and how much altogether am i looking at for a regular lengthened driveshaft?

I took mine down and it was 175 or 225 for a complete rebuild including a new slipyolk. i had mine done at Drivelines Inc in lake forest. great guy and good work. it is the 3rd driveline i have had him make or repair.

yep. Good ol Kalifornia. His name is Wade. If he needs measurements I can stop over there for ya. I need to go pick up extra joints from him.

i had mine made at mack truck shop for 285. i told him to make it as stong as possible... now its laying in my garage collecting dust.

anybody in texas know of good shops???? i really want to do without the shipping

off topic... dirtyjim... how hard was it to install the body lift??? and do you like it... does it really mess up your center of gravity or can you tell? i might install a 3" on my burb so i was just wondering.

Open up the local yellow pages and start lookin for driveline shops. A local shop will be just fine.
