Need some help

So today i was driving my 89 blazer and i started to hear a belt sound like it was slipping and though how wierd that was. The belt is about a year and a half old when i did my water pump so i pull over to investigate and find not only is my belt done but my whole alternator/power steering pump bracket was off the front of the head!!! I was shocked and was luckly that nothing got damaged to badly. So i rigged it up so that i could get it the rest of the way home about 3km. So when i got home i looked into it more and found that a few of the holes still had the remainder of the bolt in when the bolts sheared. Now im not to sure how i can get those out ive always had bad luck with ez-outs. I would love some new heads lol but dont think thats gonna happen so any ideas? and has this ever happened to anyone else?

Plenty of people have broken off bolts in blocks and heads.

If the bolts were tightened way too much (past the yield point of the steel) they could break very easily.

Left handed drill bits work well for removing broken bolts. I've always used easy outs. If there's enough bolt sticking out you can weld a nut onto it.

well i can touch the smooth break part of the bolts with just my finger tips and im pretty sure the bolts were all good as the engine was rebuilt 3 years ago. so looks like its ez-out time or the left drill bit idea

so would anyone know the size of the bolts that i broke?

k well i got 2 of the 3 broken bolts out no problem with the easy out but the last one is being a bitch. I just broke the easy out in it and now trying to drill through the easy out is not happening.. whats the best drill bit for the job? also i noticed that there are suppost to be 5 bolts holding the bracket on and only 3 snapped and the others well i cant find em adn the holes are clean so i guess my question is would 4 outta 5 be enough i know its probaly not but im having troubles wiht the last one the second from the bottom in the block so would the one below it be good enough??? dont really want to do this again...

Put a bolt in every hole you can... You might want to go buy yourself some sort of hard carbide or diamond tipped bit to grind that easy-out up... You could also try the reverse drill bit idea yet...
