I'm thinking of building a front bumper later on down the road, and I like this design I came up with. I worked these up in a CAD program to keep it organized. Critique it for me. Overkill? Needs to be beefier? Any input helps.

I'd eliminate these two pieces of tube, they don't add any real structure and I feel they make the bumper look too "busy"

Otherwise it looks good :thumb:

Sounds good. I'll still need to figure out about mounting it. Those pieces sat right in front of the frame rails or pretty close, but i can just fab a plate mount and tie it in to the skid.

Have you cut off the front fangs on the fenders? if not I think it's going to look too low. I like the design of the bumper for sure, but for best off road clearence think about cutting off the fangs and having the main tube be about the height of the vallence (sp?) or the piece of sheet metal just below the grill. Kinda like this. I think a real off road bumper should be high and tight.
