tap them with a rubber hammer, if they still stay put thengently pry them lose with a big bar in a port. They do tend to get stuck on real good.

LOL, he said tap! I beat the s#$t out of mine with a dead blow hammer, they finally came off, dont pry on them, not good for cast, makes it chip.

In case you want to do that breaker bar idea...I bought a really neat one yesterday from Harbor Freight tools. Its 1/2 inch drive and 25!!! inches long. All for about $12.

Chevy good...Ford bad

try liquid wrench or somthing similar, and then tap with hammer helps penetrate the rust and heat seal

fix'n finally

if you havent got them off yet go to home depot and buy yourself a 3 foot long piece of pipe (cheater bar) slide that over the end of your rachet and pull! you'll either break the bolts free or break the rachet. if you break the rachet go buy a 3/4 inch drive T bar and the socket you need then use the cheater bar, the bolts won't even argue any more. If you've got the bolts out but can't separate the head from the block, soak the head gasket-area with Liquid Wrench or PB Blaster(my fave), then go buy yourself a 2lb. deadblow hammer. Use it liberally around the whole head (hit from all directions), spray again, then have a beer. Use hammer again. Repeat as needed.
