i am trying to figure out a way to re-plumb my rear heater core. the metal pipes that pass over the rear wheel area rusted through many years ago. LMC Truck has the pipes available for over $300, which is more then i am willing to spend on getting my rear heater working again.

i am thinking about getting some pipe and bending it to the approximate shape of the original part.

does anyone have any good ideas on this? has anyone come up with a fix before.

Making your own replacement pipe should work just fine, its pretty much the same as having a rear mounted radiator.

I have a donor Sub w/ rear heat I could get you the lines off of, they're in good shape, I won't use them, pm me and we can work out details.

any idea on what type of piping would be best? i am thinking about using electrical conduit just because it is easy to work with.
