Ever go to look at/buy/pick up a truck and it just doesn't work out?

I did just that this last weekend, drove from VT to upper Maine.
We're talkin' moose country/Canada kinda Maine as in an 8hr drive way north.

Anyway, made the drive and the truck I went up the for (72 4x4 8ft fleet)
turned out to be nothing I wanted to buy.

BUT on the way we had seen another on the side of the road and said "lets check that out on the way back through just for kicks", so @ 9pm we stopped where the truck was.
Turned out to be a 72 flat bed dually. Nice clean truck, so I bought it!
Drove it all the way back from Maine, low gears and all.

Yes it is, just haven't tried it yet.
The deck is 12ft long, a 1st gen should fit nicely.
