New Bikini Top For The 89 Full Conv

Couldn't the snaps be on a little skinny piece of flat stock the width of the frame , and bolted to the little brackets that held the hardtop on , making the snaps a bolt on adapter :dunno:
That's exactly what I had in mind, a custom "snap bracket" that would bolt to the three factory brackets somehow. Once I get a rollbar I'm most likely going to rig something like that.

That would be the best way to go Craig. In a few months I won't be running a rollbar or a bikini anymore. I plan on converting to 2wd when the weather cools. I am looking for a donor vehicle as I type this. I plan to run 20's and paint the blazer again. Going to go with a dark green, dark black or blue of some sort. :doah: Parts will be for sale soon AZ guys. :wink1:

well i would like to take that roll bar off your hands

To each his own. The only problem chevy wrangler my rollbar is for a 78-91. Due to my 89 being made into a full conv.

then i will take it.:D

I will consider it if no one wants it locally. It would not be too bad to ship. It can be broken down into 3 parts.

well i know there is no selling in the garage, but if you cant sell it localy send me an email thru CK5, and we will see.

what do you think shipping would be on something like that to wisconsin?

Man, If I was in the situation where I could do this, Id make you a 50/50 trade for my 2wd parts for your 4.

Well maybe by the time I get ready to sell it you will be a member and you can reply in the for sale stuff. :haha: I have know idea on shipping but it took me a few months to find this one so I think shipping would be worth it.

It's been powdercoated black by the previous owner that had it done before I installed it. He never got a chance install it in his blazer before he sold it.

I am glad you posted this thread. I spoke with you a couple of months ago when you posted the top on Craigslist. That top is great for the next two weeks we get before it heats up.
