dude, WTF was that poppin noise in the video of me gettin stuck, right before i went into the water???

Yeah dude what was that?
You should double check like every bolt on your Blazer to see if anything is broken.

In both my videos, you can here my fan hitting the water at times. Bent up the blades on the flex fan so I already got a new on order.

do you think it was my rear end??seeing as i smelt fluid the whole way home...

do you know for sure you have an open rear end? Maybe you killed a gov-bomb without even knowing. To be sure take off the cover and see whats goin on in there. Take some pictures and post them if you aren't sure.

i'm back

i'm back. snapped a u-joint in my d60 inner axle on the passenger side last weekend. fixed it and went out for a test run on a new path.

i will tomorrow....ok am i wrongfully assuming what happened here...ok seeing as i was stuck for a while, with the rear axle completely submerged in water, and flooring the pedal trying to move for so long, is it possible that the diff filled with water, pushing the gear oil out, and on the ride home it just got worse and worse????as i glanced at it today, it looked like it was leaking from the bottom of the cover...maybe the seal blew out???either way i dont think the rear end is any good(i dont really know) as it was grindin and clunkin the whole way home, which was about 2 hrs going 70mph, and what i didnt know at the time(found out when i smelt the puddle of gear oil) that i was smelling gear oil the whole way home, i thought it was all the mud and water that got inside

well, i think i just made a big mistake by showing my mother the videos
:eek1:

Do what I do. I just take my parents offroading from time to time, its a lot of fun. The parents love it, my mom still hops into the k5, lifted 5" and all, without steps!

Where are your door handles?

gone along with the key hole, hood emblem and the blinker on the side of the front fender. i got a remote to open my doors

nahh i`ll stick with what i got, i`m just not gunna wheel it anymore, and if i do it will be easy stuff, and keep it as my dd...so i think i`ll just look into better things that will be better for using it as just a dd...like a softtop so i`m not roastin....but i`m definitely still gonna go with someone when they go because it was mad fun

seeing as how burried you were, you really need to change the diff fluid in both differentials. I think that will help. Just because you may have a clunk don't mean that the whole axel is gone. When you pull the cover to change the fluid, take a look inside to see if anything has play in it, metal shavings in the gear oil, etc.

BTW, it is perfecly normal to get mud in your diffs when you go through the stuff we went through. My gear oil was like sludge coming out, and your axels were in the mud longer so I think you really need to change the gear oil.

Get ready for some picture horin'

So I got my radiator in yesterday, and my new flex fan in today. I already installed them so here are some picutures of the old leaky/bent stuff:

This shows my shoddy saudering job to try to seal up the thing, then giving up and throwing a big glob of RTV on it, well it mostly held too for the whole wheeling trip.

Here's the flex fan that hit the water a few times and bent the blades.
