New flexplate and tc wobble.

I have the th400 service manual. Im going to look up the "converter feed"to see what your talking about.

Found some regulators that people say work really good for line pressure.

You won't find reference to it in there. And if you call the companies that make the full manual valve bodies, they'll tell you not to mess with it.

I killed a brand new 6.0L LS last year from it, if you google the problem you'll find a ton of people with the same issues (unfortunately it seems to be more of a "fix after it's broken" deal more than "keep it from breaking")

Man, thanks so much for the line pressure comment. Seems to be a huge problem for everyone.

Sorry about your ls thats sucks big time. Definetly sqauring this tranny up before i start the engine with new bearings

Found this fix online. What do you think?

Drill the existing hole to 21/64".
Tap the drilled hole with a 1/8 npt tap.
Install a 1/8 npt allen pipe plug.
Drill an orifice hole through the pipe plug. 7/64" is a good size. Do not go to small this will cause cavitation.
Draw a file across the face of the pump cover to knock down any raised metal caused by the orifice installation procedure.

That's the right idea, but there isn't a set size for everyone. The pump condition/pressure and even more-so, the cooling system backpressure factor in. Regardless, if it's wide open now with full pressure, it's WAY too much. My restrictor is set at ~.107" I think.

Ok thanks. I found a good explanation online. So stoked you mentioned it. Other trans have a restrictor to 90 psi. Guess they learned from the th400 mistake lol

Tee'd into my lower trans cooler line to check the charge pressure. When i say idle thats park. (Vid below) does the pressurelook ok? Sorry about the car alarm. They get scared from my exhaust lol.

Doing a compression test then pulling the engine out to check my bearings.

Awsome thanks, one less thing to worry about. Compression is 165 across the board. Looks like i might only need to do bearings. Find out when i flip her over.

Finally got the engine out. Heres the crank walking. Maybe tear into it in a day or two.

Yeah, this crank is destined to become a coffe table or somethin. Ordering a new one.
