buffblazer
1/2 ton status
took the k5 from hudson to divide colorado, almost a 200 mile trip. did some 4wheeling and stayed at a cabin over the weekend
so i want yall to guess what my miles per gallon was, figured we could have some fun with this
specs on the k5.
86 k5 with a mild 350 carbed no emissions, MSD ignition and box, headers, true duals, performer intake and cam, and punched out 30. getting exactly 14.7 to 1 at loveland colorado elevation.
running an sm465 tranny, 208 case, 1 tons with 4.56 gears and 35/12.5/17 BF goodrich Mud terrain Km2s
truck weighs 6k give or take 20 pounds (dairy scale) and i had about 300 pounds of supplies and me and the gf so lets say 6680
speeds were kept around 60-65 90% of the time,
here is a pic of the truck and where we stayed, good luck at guessing the winner gets a pat on the back, a fresh baked cookie and gets to be known as the MPG guru
oh and a view from the hottub during the day
couldnt see it very well at night
