NEW GAME-Guess the fuel milage

what carb? What grade of fuel? 465/208 origional to truck? what was stock rear end ratio? Really drive as many miles as you think you did?

oh screw it. I will say 16mpg because I want to hear someone claim it without overdrive.

Mine got 15 all day long with tbi350, 465/208, 3.08 rear end, and 31s...

holley truck advenger with 87 octane. 465/208 was in it original.

the rear end was 3.73's and yes it was map quest and GPS verified.

Bradshawtech, and Plumber mike get the win for the going to divide trip at 12.5

Scouthead gets the win for the return trip at 16mpg

filled it plum full in fort lupton, then when i got to divide i filled it again and i put 10.3 gals in.

then i filled it when leaving divide and the second i got into fort lupton and put in 7.7 gals

128.4/10.3= 12.46 rounded up to 12.5

128.4/7.7=16.6 could round up to 17 but aint gonna do it.

Not pulling anyones leg here, i really got those numbers i was completly suprised i expected to only get about 8-10

Yea, I'd like to know how that managed to get over 12 mpg. Mines around the same and I'm lucky to pull 8 these days. My last tank lasted 6 mpg.

WOO HOO..... I still know how to deal with the elevation.

On my recent trip from Pueblo CO. to Bakersfield CA. I started out getting 14 MPG in the 84 K20 with the 6.2 and by the time we got to CA. I was getting 18 MPG.

properly tuned? Mine sucks gas pretty good around town but out on the highway is where im getting my numbers. Now that was with me only goign 60-65 and for about 120 miles one way. so im sure the whole tank wouldnt average that.

if it was my daily communter with mixed highway and city i bet i would only get around 12 also.

It's supposedly properly tuned, but who knows. I get 11mpg on solid highway at 70 mph and 6-8mpg in town.
