Hey all - wanted to introduce myself and my new to me 74 Jimmy.

Just brought her home today and have about a dozen questions already for the experts, but wanted to say hello first!

The truck is a 74 Jimmy and has a fairly fresh aluminum headed 383 / TH350 and runs well.

Also has plenty of needs to say the least though :-)

I look forward to being a part of this site - thats all for now and just a HELLO to all. - Jason in Northern Calif.

Ole roundeye still Looking good!
Welcome aboard Jason.
This is the place for squarebody advice, lots of experience here w these trucks!

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome - I can tell this is a great forum already! Sorry if this is not where I post this but I saw this in the glovebox and was wondering about two things - Killarney Green, is this what color the truck was when new? Green? and what is the delete high energy? Thanks all!!!

Very clean! Someone put a little time and effort into that. Where’d you find it?
found it on facebook locally here in Nor. Cal - its a looker from 30 feet but will start to work on all the goodies over time to make it a looker from a few feet away lol

High energy ignition. HEI Didn’t come in the trucks until 1975, cars were earlier.
Can only guess why the B2J option.
Maybe a very late 74 production and they wanted to make sure it didn’t get the HEI.
Gm used the delete window option in the Blazers when the sliders were installed in the top or something to that effect.

Here’s a link to a conversation about this B2J delete high energy.

Nice K5 and welcome to the forums! Love the Coors lite on the hood.

Where about in Nor Cal are you?

Nice! I’m in the East bay. Wasn’t sure if you were local.

The K5 totally matches the coors lite can. That’s awesome hahaha
