New king shocks and traction bars. Video of my first drive in over a year is up!!

I may have seen it, after watching the video again there may to be a blue fuel jug on the pass side of the core support.

No biggie, I just wanted to make sure you didn't have some ultra cool fuel cell tucked away somewhere - I hate how low the OE tank hangs. :doah: :thumb:

I was waiting for someone to see it:D . I agree that the hanging tank sucks, but I don't have near the room in that bed to run a cell otherwise I would. That 20 gallon tank or so isn't going to last me too long anyways.

You know, that's what we need a vendor to make - a competetively priced low profile cell with a gauge that'll hook up to the OE filler. :deal:

What was the reason for the traffic stop? Ticket? Cool cop? What happened?

Gas station is 3/4 mile from my house. Pulled in and cop pulled right behind me and started listing off all my violations. Explained to him that it's been my project since I was 15 and that I hadn't driven it in a year and a half. Also, that my buddies and me were trying to just work on it and get it back together and that I needed some fuel. Told him I was driving straight home and that he was more than welcome to follow. He was real cool for letting me go with a warning but said if he ever see's me on the road again, that he will pull me over and ticket me for every possible violation. Which sucks, because he was a local cop which means anytime I drive off my driveway, I gotta keep my eye out for him.

great build up. wish i had started when i was that age instead of partying, drinking and hookin up with every girl in sight! oh well. im 25 and married now. so wife has a say so in where the money goes and its harder to convince her that it should go in my truck. im in iraq now puttin money aside for it. will have 30k to put in it when i get back.

how did u mount your front shocks on the top? are they f-250 shock towers or custom? also the top shock mounts in the back. did you just weld the tubing straight to the frame or make some plates first?

Front shock mounts are custom and the rear tube bolts to by frame. Then, when I get my roll cage here in a few weeks, the rear shock mounts will also tie into my roll cage. I will snap some pics when I get off work tonight.

much appreciated bro. always good to see some custom work and maybe get some ideas of your own from them.

Isn't it amazing what a good pair of shocks can do. All my friends thought I was crazy/stupid/retardid/on crack when i got my SAW's. Now going through the desert I leave them all in the dust. Those Doetch Tech look really nice as well---looks as though I should hav gone that route instead of the Bilsteins I have in the rear

Well when i got my quote for them, I was :eek1: . I was a little skeptical at first but after flooring 500hp around a corner with 42's and a detroit and feeling under complete control the whole time, I realized that these shocks were worth every bit of what I paid.
