New life for an old GI, 1984 Chevy M1028

I tried out my new power bleeder today. This is much better than any other method I've used in the past. The supplied hardware doesn't hold the cap tight enough but a large C clamp did the trick. And that is $120 worth of DOT 5 brake fluid there.

I found the front inner seals were leaking because I skipped replacing them since they were not leaking at the time of redoing the king pins... so it all came apart again and it is back together after cleaning out the axle tubes and replacing the seals.

I ordered a front Driveshaft tonight and noticed a little transmission fluid on the new transmission pan while i was measuring. Likely leaking from the input shaft seal...

Looking at adding some flood lights behind the grill to take the place of the blackout headlight and slave receptacle as nether is functional any longer. I'm not happy with the first attempt using an existing hole.

Working on electrical gremlins. I'm currently seeing a 3.2 mA draw with the key off. Now to start chasing down the source of the problem.

I already have the shelter brackets for the rear of the bed and went on the hunt for one of these front brackets today. I ended up finding a complete set for the M1028 shelter carrier locally. Just have to wait for the guy to get home next week to pick them up.
