New life for an old GI, 1984 Chevy M1028

I forget, what springs did you end up going with?

Today was a list of little things and some things were not on the list for today.

First was a old bomber air tank. Eventually it will run off an onboard air system, but for now it is getting filled with shop air. I originally was trying to mount it vertically, but once I found the VW transmission mount was a good fit, horizontal worked the best with a slight angle.

Next up ended up being the Deuling Design fire extinguisher mount.

Then, on to mounting the center console and ham radio.

After finishing the dash, I rechecked the lug nut torque and all was good. I did notice the driver side brake pads can rock back and forth slightly when rocking the wheel. The passenger side does not do that. The sound was very similar to the noise I'm chasing as well. I'll have to take out apart and look at it closer.
Looking through my build thread again, I don't think I ever dug into this and rechecked the calipers. I will put that on the list when I get it back into the shop. Currently this one needs a couple things.
  • Check caliper rattle clips
  • Replace or repair rear driveshaft
  • Find fuel/air line leak but MAW go with a 30 or 40 gallon tank between the frame rails...
