new member. new jimmy.

Thats a tough one. Sometimes you can tap the "ball joint" (i think your talking about the draglink) back down into its seat to get it to quit turning. Other times you can strategically place a C clamp to shove it back into its seat to keep it from turning. Other times you have to tighten it back up real tight and then loosen it.

Like he said. What you may not realize, it that the ball is supposed to turn. So its not likely you will jam it.

The shaft that goes through the arm and has the nut on it is tapered. The harder its jammed into the arm, the less its able to turn.
When you force something between the arm and the ball, you are releasing the shaft to turn easier.

You need to drive the ball towards the nut.
Like he said, sometimes you can tighten the nut and draw the shaft into the arm tighter and it will hold.
