Man, your story really hits home with me. I had an '18 JKU that I bought new a few years back and my wife came up to me and told me she was pregnant so I started thinking of ways to cut back on monthly financial obligations so I set my sites on the Jeep. I already have a LJ so I really didn't need the JKU. Anyways, I told her I was gonna buy a suburban for a family hauler and get rid of the Jeep. Little did she realize I was looking at a '91 squarebody Suburban lol. Anyways, I sold the Jeep a week or so later and drove home in my stylish "new" sub and she just sorta gave me a look. We have driven it all over since (all over TX, NM, CO, etc) and she's a little better with it now.

Anyways, I definitely don't regret it one bit.

I will say that I am really unhappy with the TBI 350 and am currently collecting parts for a 6.0 swap. Driving through the mountains was terrible.

My wife has stopped complaining LOL. I am still up in the air on my engine combo. Hard to be a LQ9 or LS2 6.0L though.

I'm in the middle of an LQ4 swap in my old '93 K2500. How it runs might heavily sway me towards another LQ4 in the sub.

I've been investigating the L8T. From what I can tell it wouldn't be any different than a Gen V 5.3 swap.

My wife and I just take turns spending money. She wanted an expensive necklace, so we got that paid off, then I got my gauges and a locker for the Jimmy. Everybody stays happy.

My wife just stopped asking. LOL. She wanted a new 4Runner. So she got a new 4Runner. I just made sure it was a TRD Off Road.

14 Bolt came in today too.

If anyone is interested in the K5 message me. Have a business opportunity available.
Its not a have too or want too. Just weighing options.

Hard No on that. K5 is scheduled to get our aluminum head 383 stroker installed.. Now the $100 question. Who to go to for a solid 700R4...
loads of parts have arrived. Will be starting a build thread soon.

Phoenix in Texas, @Greg Ducato a member here, has done more than a few for fellow members.

I used the Toy Store in Pomona Ca, Kendell only does GM autos. Mine has 10K plus mile, many towing 2-3kish loads hundreds of miles at time.

Bow Tie overdrives in Hesperia Ca is ok, customer service runs hot and cold

California Performance transmissions in Huntington Beach Ca (Art Carr) is good too. I have a 2004r in behind a built 6" rod 350 in my Chevelle which had been a daily 60 mile commute.

Sounds like you've got it all. I just did the one ton swap tuff country I believe makes a easy swap kit with everything, perches, mounts, and u bolts. And also welcome

I’m interested in buying a 14 bolt like this with rear disc brakes already on it. Do you know what it came out of by chance ?

I bought the rear axle out of a 2005 up GM 2500 pickup. Link below to similar setup
