Stomis,
Thanks! i cant wait to get it running! im going to keep the good ol th400 for now, or at least until it blows up... maybe ill get it rebuilt while ive got everything apart.
496truck,
Good eye! you are one of the few to notice
as far as details, this truck has quite the story behind it. I never planned on taking it this far, but as im sure everyone knows, once you pop you cant stop!
Quick run down:
Ford one ton axels, d60 front d70 rear 5.38s (they had been sitting in my garage for almost 12 years, thought what the hell, lets see what we can do)
ford np205 tcase (same age and situation as axels) although decided to go ahead and double it. so its a 203/205 triple stick.
3 link up front with 2.5" coils
took the front leafs and put them on the rear, used the ORD shackle drop kit and flipped the stock shackles. Roughly a 5.5" lift total. (cut the fenders pretty good)
After all that couldn't skimp on the rubber, i had a set of 39.5" boggers. They were going on the axels originally, they were also 10+ years. Sold them and bought 39.5 red label krawlers. These tires are amazing, best addition by far.
Everything ese is missing, stock, or broken... I drove this truck as a daily driver for a long time, then it was a hunting truck, now its what you see. It was stock until we did this.
Oh yes, almost forgot... no more hydro assist, full hydro steering now also
As far as pictures go, is there an easier way than photobucket? i dont have time to fight with it right now.. Ill have some up tomorrow after work.
ive got to give credit to my buddy Dave, he is quite the amazing fabricator!
