I was going to buy a set of Haynes or Chilton manuals, however, I checked with Helms (original publisher of Factory Service Manuals) and while the '85 C/K truck manuals were out of print, they sent me a source to check out.

They are:

Faxon Auto Literature
3901 Carter Ave. #2
Riverside, CA 92501-1042
1-800-458-2734

Their website is:

http://www.faxonautolit.com/

I ordered a FSM from them, via their website, and it cost $75 + S&H. Excellent service, they take Paypal and they have emailed me my order confirmation and shipping info via USPS Priority.

If you have need of any manuals, including owners manuals, they have them. Check them out.

Thanks for the info - I just made an order with them for books I thought I'd never find looking at flea markets, etc.

You are welcome! I was impressed with the service, from start of the order, through to delivery. They also buy automotive literature. I have two sets of GM FSM's that I don't need anymore ('03 Yukon/Tahoe/Suburban/Avalanche) and recently emailed them on what their interest might be.

I am going back to them to see if they have a set of literature and FSM's for my Nova!

Don't forget about ebay. I think I paid $9.99 for my '85 manual. If you don't need brand new, often the savings are worth a little wear on the cover or a bent page etc.

Yeah, check eBay first. Usually the best price. Found one but it was pretty beat up and, believe it or not, the Seller was totally up front and honest about the condition, stating that it was missing a section!

Wonder if they sold it? :haha:

x2 on eBay. I've gotten several FSM sets off of there. Found my 2002 Suzuki XL7's complete set for $80 delivered while Suzuki wanted $150.

Know any buddies who work at dealerships? I used to and often they have a pile of the FSM's somewhere. Some throw or give them away while others sit on them forever.
