I started this project last year at about this time. I did all the floor, supports, front and rear door posts(lower half), and rhino lined the inside floor and firewall and core support. I then took it to a body shop to have the quarters and outer rockers put in. That's where it sat for 6 months(a friend was supposed to do it on the side). Nothing ever happened so I took it to another shop last week and hear are the pics of what they've done so far. It supposed to be ready for paint late next week.(I can't wait, finally!!!)

Body shop jail sucks. Glad you got it to some place where they are paying attention to it. Keep us updated!

Keep on pushin' on, it will get done.

I can still remember the day mine became one color again. :woot:

It's all worth it in the end, saving yet another K5 is just plain cool.

The body shop has now finished , I should have pics soon, now it's time for reassembly. By the way did I mention it's FINALLY out of the body shop. :D

We've been putting that spray in bedliner in cabs of trucks it is nice. cuts down on noise and heat. Even if you are going to put carpet in it. stops floor from sweating stops rust.

Sure is a good feeling to have a fresh coat of paint. It always scared me to put it back together for fear of scratching it.

Looks excellent.

Wow!
That is looking awsome!!! :thumb:
Its amazing what some paint can do for an old k5!

Takin a day off work Thursday to drop the crate motor 350 in. The neat thing is the boss man is also taken off to come help me put it in!

Motor is In. :D Here is a pic. Didn't get it fired up though. Combination of bad gas and the Choke was sticking and flooded the engine.
