New PitBull Tires Introduced

Sorry I was strictly talking about the radials, most bias ply tires do have deeper tread depth.

IROKs are mostly 21/32 I think, 42s are 24/32 and I think the 49s are 27/32, unf.

I almost ordered Iroks until i saw the tread depth differnce in 42" tsl vs 42" irok. 3/32 might not be alot but its enough.

Are you serious with this comment? /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif
Been to a mud bog? Never been to MI huh?

But let me ask this...why the hell would anyone want a 40" or bigger tire unless you're just doing it for show? Which is fine...but it doesn't seem to me that there is that large of a market for giant tires.

I could be wrong.

Guys,

I think he was refering to a 40+" tire on a STREET vehicle, not an offroad toy...

At least that's what I GOT out of it /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Yes...I meant on the street use for 40 + tires. We're finalizing the 39.5s right now and after talking with some of you, I'm thinking about 24/32nds on the 39.5 tires. The only drawback is the extra weight.
And you guys are right...I'm thinking like a manufacturer not a user when it comes to 40s or over. But just so you know...the 39.5 bias Rockers should be over 40" anwyay. I'm not going to know the exact specs until we make the sample tires in December.

Keep talking straight...we want to make sure that we make tires that you guys are happy with.

39.5s will be available in January. 24/32nds sound alright?

OkAuto has the 35x1450-15 Rocker tire in stock right now. Other 35" tires available end of next month...16, 16.5 & 17 in the Rocker, Growler and Maddog designs.

I don't have that information yet. I have to build them first and run them at the facility to get that kind of info. But the 35s are running well and wearing well.

well after comments like that...now I'm considering 24/32nds on the 39.5s. But the 33, 35 and 37s will all be 22/32nds.

24/32's sound great. Actually, make it as deep as you want. One month with my spool and they'll be slicks anyway's /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/histerical.gif

The 39.5 Bias Rocker is the tire I'm after. Perfect fit for what I plan on doing. If there is some kind of mailing list I can get on, I'd give up near anything to get my hands on a first run of these. Contact me anyway you want to give me the delivery date /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Thanks

Actually...the Rocker rides pretty well on the road and doesn't howl too badly. The Maddog and Growler also bite pretty darn hard and also don't howl too badly. It's a subjective thing anyway...but they aren't as bad as others. Although..if you compare them to an All Season...yeah...they're rough and loud as hell. I honestly don't know what to tell you guys about this topic. You tell me when you've seen them run.

Tell me when, where, and how much for the 39.5" rocker for a 16" rim and I'll let you know how loud they are compared to my swamps. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Tire noise is entirely subjective to the tires being compared and the person behind the wheel. My swamps are louder than my BFG A/T's, but that's little suprise. Thay are not, IMO loud though...

Tire noise means nothing to me compared to tire performance, off the road first, on road second (but close, I drive a lot on the highway)

I am looking at the Irok info on their website. And unless I'm looking at the wrong thing...if you go to their website...they show 19/32nds on the 39.5 and 24/32nds on the 42s...with 28/32nds on the 49s. So I have no idea what to think here. All radials show 21/32nds. Regardless...we're doing 22/32nds on our current tires...and thinking about doing 24/32nds on the 39.5s. Weight is the only issue.

I could care less how loud they are and what thew street manners are.

I want my tires, 39.5 (44 even more), to be an OFFROAD tire.

I also could give a crap about weight. I already wheel a blazer, I gave up that battle a LOOOOOOOOONG time ago /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Can you tell I'm excited about these tires? I want a set...

Okay then...you guys have me thinking. I'm leaving town and won't be back until next week. Later...

Granted, I don't design tires... but what is the problem w/ just going as deep as possible on the Rockers? Why not throw a full inch on there? Who cares about weight... what is a couple additional pounds on something that has to weigh close to 90 lbs anyways? If people bitch about having too much tread, tell them to go drive on the highway for a month and the tread will be right where they want it...
