New pre-bent exhaust system

Not in a million years. Believe it or not Krylon BBQ paint on a regular bent system works great.

I think you'll be taxed to find somone willing to drop $1100 on an exhaust in a truck where the whole thing can cost $1100.

it won't hurt to list that company's stuff in your shop.......for the customer with financial resources . apply for a dealership for as many quality parts as you can. i had my local indy become a dealer for some high end aftermarket Harley parts and he's now the regional "go to" guy for some stuff. it could bring in a different "type" of customer, and sometimes it's worth the time if you don't have to carry an inventory or make large orders..........only my $.02, Bill

Figure at your shop what you would charge to bend a complete system....prob for the cost of the tubing/mufflers/clamps and your time it would be close to that.

As for the painting the pipes with bbq grill paint, that has never worked for me here in pa anyway. I had 2 flowmaster catbacks on my 2500hd, one i painted(vht heat paint) before putting it on and the other i left go and they lasted 3 years...both systems..not worth the price for the paint for not lasting any longer.

I did find tho that cat has paint that they paint their pipes with and thats supposed to work real good.

I also priced stainless catbacks for my hd and not one are under 500.00, and thats just the cat back.

VHT is garbage. Its a cheap coating that rubs off and never cures properly. I'm talking regular krylon bbq paint.

yeah, but if you guys are spending what 3-400 bucks on an exhaust system that lasts 3-4 years. How long do you think this SS system will give you? Might be worth it if it tucks up nice and performs. I'm sure I'll be spending a chunk for the custom exhaust I'll be doing. I doubt this advertised system follows the path I need and SS around here isn't really needed, except the muffler IMO.

The road salt and the not so nice winters make a rotted mess of the pipes. You guys out there have it alot better for that kind of stuff. Im not sure how long the stainless would last here but it has a better warranty than the aluminized pipe. Most of them for my hd fit super nice and you dont see much except for the tails. Just not sure what to buy, the jba seems nice but the magnaflow is a nice kit too(single exhaust).

Well I was just posting because it fits the CUCV. For someone who was looking for a stainless system. I wasn't posting necessarily for opinions on becoming a dealer. I would never spend that kind of money, but I can custom bend a new system for myself anytime I want, so thats just me.

I'm surprised, I put the flowmaster catback system on my blazer right after I boughtit almost 6 years ago with only a little bit of rust where the mufflers welded, but I wash mine all the time, so the salt doesn't get a chance to sit on my truck... I'm
sure you get a bit more snow than I do in Easton, but around here the minute they think it might flurry they start spraying that liquid salt mixture crap... Me personally, I've had a great experience with the flowmaster kit, it was cheap and it fit perfectly on my blazer.

I think we're on track
if you want to sell this product or have anyone interested in buying it
here are some pros and cons for you to think about

it might outlast the truck, then could be swapped over with your motor lol
rust
eww

That price is really too high. For stainless pipes and mufflers I would expect to pay <$600. I bet you could pick up the pipes and mufflers and get a shop to bend it up and install for way less than $1100. As a point of reference, I have a full stainless system on my car from GM Performance Parts. It includes resonator, two mufflers, all pipes, all band clamps and nice tips, mostly 2.5". That thing used to sell for like $550 at the dealer counter.

EDIT: one other point - I love the idea of stainless exhaust, but a lot of us are changing stuff on our rigs too often to commit to an exhaust that will last 20 years. Plus, it seems we all end up wanting/needing the exhaust a little different based on headers, doublers, suspension mods, etc. to go with a "kit".
