New repop 1973-75 K5 door available now

Whats different on the 73-75 tailgates?
There are no real noteworthy differences in the tailgates for Blazers/Jimmys with removable hardtops from 73-91. This thread is more about the doors, which are rather unique in many ways although they can be made from a truck door.

I know about the doors. In just saw a post about tail gates so i wasnt sure

Just a matter of time before someone starts making the metal tubs. Someone already makes one for the early k5 Blazers. I need new doors and new rear quarter panels.

The price of replicating all the stamps, making the panels, assembling all the parts into a factory tub ...boxing it up for shipping.... Shipping costs ... I doubt the mass market would bear the costs.

???? Wild card, has anyone ever replicated the roof assembly....

Ok... Was looking for square body (newer)...

But at $16K... crating, shipping , taxes it will eat twenty grand.

Budget minded ( cheap skates) won't look twice when they see the costs.

This is the drivers door. passenger is identical in terms of a comparison with the original. My take is there are very very very small differences between the original and this new door. If you only had this door and didn't have an original to compare it against I think you would have to be an expert on 73-75 doors to really be able to tell a difference. With that said, there are differences that are easy to see in the pics below.

I picked both doors up and walked a short distance and they both feel the same weight wise.

Here are the pics...

Let us know how the install goes. When it comes to reproduction panels I haven't had much luck. I'm curious to see how well these fit.
Thanks

How's the weight? Do they feel as thick...heavy?

Is that an illusion or trick of the camera or is that body line unstraight?

I have already packed the door back in the box so can’t confirm. But, I don’t recall thinking anything looked strange or off when I sighted down the door.
