New Rock-Slider Pic (With Updated PICS)

Re: New Rock-Slider Pic

WOW!
shocked.gif

I'm going to try mine and see how long they last.

Can you take a pict of the mounting system?
Mine will have 3 runners to the frame. But if mounting to the body will be stronger them that may be the way to go. I'm still doing the grunt work getting all of the cuts made.

Thanks KEN

Re: New Rock-Slider Pic

Man they look good. How did you handle the joints? Straight cuts and fill the gaps with welds or did you contour the cuts for a nice fit? If you did the latter, what did you use to get the contoured cuts?

Re: New Rock-Slider Pic

Thanks for the comments. All the cuts were mitered and contoured to fit exactly. No filler welds...
Here are some additional pics I took last night with the sliders mounted on my K5.
They attach to both the frame and body mounts. I have used the sliders to jack up the blazer more than once. I also included some pics of my rear shock set-up I fabbed.

Re: New Rock-Slider Pic

Those look awsome! How's the flex on them (such as body getting close to them etc? Can you draw up the plans?

I'd like to build some just like that for my truck.

Re: New Rock-Slider Pic

Thanks.
No flex yet, even with all one side's weight on it.
I may be able to draw some rough plans up. I kept the measurements on the bends I made. I will see what I can come up with this weekend.

Re: New Rock-Slider Pic

thanks! I'd really appreciate it
