You should paint and change your interior to grey color. Prob cost under a $100 and would really make the truck more comfortable IMO. I always hated the colored interiors. Grey and Black are best.

I agree, but lucky for me my stock interior is already grey and the seats I got for it are grey and black!

I'm assuming from these pics the trucks and k5's have a flat floor. My burb has a large hump where the seats mount....which totally kills using the factory slides on the newer seats......

The pickups have a big hump under the seats just like the Suburbans and crewcabs do. The K5s have a flat floor under the seats.

Oh ok, so its only the k5's wiht teh cool floor.

Whats under that hump? Anyone cut it out and plate over it?

saddlebag gas tanks in the pickups whereas the k5/burbans have a tank between the rails

yeah i will this spring when the weather is a little warmer. im not a big fan of the teal and silver paint job either.

Here are the 1998 or 1999 Silverado 40/20/40 seats that I installed in my 69 K20

With the integrated seatbelts you need to be concerned with the structural strength of your mounting points. I made plates for both above and below the floor to strengthen and spread the load.

More pics can be seen at this link to my website.

I put 2000 model seats in my '86 K10. Entirely different due to the saddle gas tank humps in the pickups so not much help to you, but may be to someone else.

The seats are honestly a bit tall in a pickup. I even removed the sliders to lose some height, it works fine but its still a bit taller than I'd like (that said, I fit under the steering wheel fine and I don't bump my head or anything).

My seat adapter/interior roll bar ended up rediculously complicated, but it works pretty well. It catches most of the original seat holes plus 8 studs welded to the back rail and the two B pillar seat belt holes.

The weird loop in the center goes in between the gas tank humps to keep it as low as possible.

This is unbelievably cool. Not only that, I believe it may solve the problem of reinforcement. The stock seats don't have integrated seat belts, so the floor needs to be reinforced when integrated seatbelts are used... (otherwise, you risk just having the seat, with you strapped in, torn from the floor in a wreck... :doah: )

I think, the fact that this cage ties into the existing seat belt holes, as well as at several other points, would probably negate the need for reinforcing the floor...

I'd like to know more about the building of this cool little cage as well...

I would love to install these type of seats in my 75 but I can never find a set locally that wont kill the bank...

Yeah, I paid 200 for the set. Most expensive used seats I ever bought but I've seen worse.
