I also have a newer style banks turbo kit.

Will this kit have the same a/c box clearance issues as well as downpipe routing issues as the 6.5L turbos?

I should have figured this out before I committed myself to buying iceman's turbo setup, but figured I should find out anyhow.

The major issues with the factory turbo setups is the wastegate hanging off the back of the turbo which interferes with the a/c box. I have a banks setup off an 86 and it looks different to what you have. The turbo mount flange on the exhaust manifold looks to be in the same spot. The Banks turbos are non-wastegated so it is considerably shorter.

A couple issue I would forsee you having is the down pipe routing may be different but that is a relatively small problem that can be easily... read cheaply fixed.

And you might have to get creative with the airbox mounting.

I just rechecked mine and the crossover pipe location comes in at a different spot.... I dont know if there is enough clearance at the back of the block to run the crossover without it hitting the frame... The older style kits the crossover pipe runs diagonal from the drivers side manifold under the oilpan to a port on the front of the turbo side manifold.
