No Adam you just need the inserts on the beadlocked rim ( H1 ) you can run a 16.5 tire on any 16.5 rim.
Using the stock rim those tires come on ( 8 bolt 12 bolt or 32 bolt) you need an specific insert to match the width of the bead bundle on the tire

And adam if what chris said is true about the load rating, these will have one hell of a stiff sidewall and will not balloon out in the sand. May not be the best choice.

Yah thats what i was thinkin. Guess i will get a chance to see if that scuba tank can set a bead sooner than i thouhgt lol. Hes pretty set on them and its worth a shot

The Oz tires are rated 3700 and seem to bulge like any other radial, if that experience is relevant.And adam if what chris said is true about the load rating, these will have one hell of a stiff sidewall and will not balloon out in the sand. May not be the best choice.
