My house is on top off a hill. There was flooding at the bottom of the hill, but nothing that affected me.
The town just South of us got hammered pretty hard, but all the water has receded here. It’s all South and East of here now. The biggest issue is all the damaged infrastructure. It’s hard to get around right now. You wouldn’t believe all the semi traffic coming through Albion right now. All kinds of carriers I have never seen here before.

Glad to hear that. Heard a huge percentage of the state got screwed over flood wise. Around here there's still a lot of standing water in fields, not hurting homes yet luckily
I never did update this thread. Don!5 have much to update on the shed, but here are pictures of the flooding by my house from three years ago.
This is looking down from the top of the hill I live on, as it heads into town.
This is the bridge over the Beaver Creek, where all this water was coming from.
This was a couple days later after the water receded. Still much higher than normal.

Flooding was always a pain back in Wis. We had one river straight through town and another behind my parents house that ran into the bigger one through town. It was always a waiting game on how bad it would flood each spring.

I have put off working on this shed for too long. I need some new brace rods. Can't use threaded rod, because the end that goes into the turnbuckle is reverse threads.
I also need one of these "washers"?

A couple weeks ago I finally took down the unnecessary cross race from the old divider wall. Kind of hokey doing it by myself. You'll have to excuse the mess (or not, whatever), With all the holes and the walls not attached to the floor, it is a big mess in there. On top of that I have just been piling stuff in there, and not organizing anything. I need to finish the shelving I started building, to get all the junk off the floor.
That log chain has been up there for four years.....
Using the come along to lower it.
Used the chain to hold it in place, and then redid the come along.
Ran out of cable again.
Damn near to the floor.
Released the tension on the come along with a floor jack.

Lowered the floor jack.
Lifted it off the floor jack, and set it on the ground.
Moved the chains and come along over.
Unbolted the center piece from the other end, and lowered it down.
The single piece was a lot easier to get down.
Taking down the third piece.
The one side chained up, so I can lower the other side.
Out of cable. Pretty easy to just lower it by hand from here.

I thought I took more pictures of this, but I guess not. This brace had been bent, and taken loose on one side for some reason. I took a come along, and pulled on this brace and slightly straightened it. Enough to get it bolted back in place (that sucked).
Both bolts back in.
The turn buckle, pulled back tight, I thought I took a picture of the brace when I bolted it back in place, the turn buckle was barely on the end of each side of the rods, and it was all I could do to get the end bolted back in place.
You can see a little of the bent rod on the far end. Much better than it was. I didn't pull any further on the turn buckle, because things were really starting to creak.
Both of these braces had been removed for some reason. Put this one back in place as well, and removed all the other loose braces that had been up by the roof.
You can see the shelving I started building (and a lot of junk....).
