New Tow Rig - 83 Chevy Megacab

Could be an atari! Haha, I haven't gone through it yet, but I do know that it has a sweet sony TV built into the console... :thumb:

I really just bought it to keep it from going to the scrap yard. $250 was a good deal for it I think. I have another 12v cummins sitting in the shop, that I'm dying to put into another chevy. I think this one might make a pretty sweet project!

Uh oh... I've got a complete deuce frame/axles/suspension/transfer case sitting behind the shop....

Do you got weapons grade plutonium in there to :eek1:

amazing you never see these actually being used

There is an old man that lives about 2 miles from me that has one of these, well not this exactly, but a 6 door with the "cowboy camper" attached behind the cab. I've never seen it it motion, but it always seems to be parked in a different spot when I pass by.

I vote for the cummins but keep it 2wd and do whatever is required to fit some big 10 lugs on it... 22.5 with lowpro's sound good!

Yeah, you don't see that everyday.

Now don't get me wrong...I have no love for the vinyl top...but seeing as it's a conversion, that vinyl may be there to cover something up.

And if it wasn't originally....i bet its covering a good amount of rust now....

Make a cool HillBilly Limo....:thumb:

I'm going to start pulling the vinyl top off this weekend. It's already coming up in a few places, and underneath looks a little rusty (surface rust), but not bad.

Executive is still in business, and are supposedly one of the better limo companies in the country. Executive and I both use the same metal manufacturing company in Springfield...
I'm willing to bet that they didn't butcher the roof and just cover it with vinyl, but we'll see.

I'm hoping the cab light holes are still there though!

Obviously I am the only voice of reason here. That thing will be useless as a 4 wd anything. Put the 12v in it and oh I don't know about a 4/6 drop, then it will still be useful.

Nice score

:D

One thing is for certain, and that's that this truck will never be lowered! I don't think I could actually even make it down my driveway if it was...

And 4wd would be a big help with this thing in a muddy field pulling a trailer!
