New UAV rear bumper pics

Looks really good man. I know you have gone through this b4 but why did you ditch the other bumper set up. The one with the tanks and carrier? Was it weight or function?

If you ever drove up or down a 6 foot ledge you would understand why I inboarded the spare, same principle as bobing the rear, better departure angle and with a large tire the carrier tends to bounce the rear end, you can feel the tire move you, I always hated that. Plus it flew open on me and pushed into my tailgate on the dump bump in Moab. I plan on taking the bumper off to paint it so I will weigh it then.

The main tub on the bumper looks a bit like what I've been plannig to do for some time now, exept I was gonna go a bit higher (just below the tailgate).

I dunno, I think the mangled chrome look really sets off your Blazer. /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

I really like how the rear bumper mounts, mainly b/c that's almost exactly how I have mine done /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

and the fact that it gives you room to move the rear spring hanger back some for longer springs.
Very nice work man. Give you madd props.

Yeah, the first thing I thought of was I have room to move the hangers back if I need to, seems like a pretty good design, almost time to test it.

Screw the bumper let's see them sliders!!! heheheh The bumper does inspire me to buy a tube bender/forums/images/icons/smile.gif......

Yeah buddy. I like that a lot. Pretty close to how I've decided to do mine. I just dont have a clue what I'm gonna do with my spare....dammit.

Looks good steve I like it, kind of along the lines of my idea too, but think I'm gonna make some minor changes to my idea now, also does colorado not require a light on the liscense plate? In Tejas the smokey's around here will bust you left and right for not having that stupid little white light on there.
