Newbie saying hi

What your saying makes sense, ill be honest i dont know much about electric fuel pumps but what you said lines up with how the previous owner mounted it, so i might just have to rethink that little guy. Ill hopefully get pictures up soon so you guys can see what im working with

Hey everyone, im new to this site as well as of last week new owner of an 84 k5 blazer. Iv always have been a big chevy fan and always wanted a k5 so im pretty excited and ready to get to work on it. Iv still got work to do mechanicly (seems the guy i got it from ether knew how to do things properly but decided to jerry rig it any ways or had no clue haha) but was just wondering if you guys had any good basic build ideas i should keep in mind.

Hook, Line and Sinker. We got another one............................

And welcome...............................to your new debt. :grind::hack::weld:

So this may seem incredibly dumb but i cant for the life of me figure out how to post pictures. I do the whole url thing and it just shows the broken picture icon and you can actually view it. What am i doing wrong haha

Down at the bottom right of the text/reply box, is a button that says "Upload File or Photo". Click that and follow along.

What I do is upload pics to a free photobucket account, then share them here.

Nice dude! Is that blue bedliner inside? Looks pretty nice.
Would be pretty cool if it was, but sadly no its just the way the light is comming off haha. The whole floor has been lined though from cab to tailgate which is nice

That is nice.
Thanks man i appreciate it. It took me for ever to find one i liked for the money haha. So much i want to do to it already though in the cosmetics area. Havnt figured out what route i want to take in the mechanical area. First things first though got to get it through emissions

Nice blazer! And welcome! She doesnt seeem tooo rough. Definitley seen alot worse. The sickness begins..:thumb:

Emissions? haha what are those? lol

Where you located?

Tucson arizona. Iv got to go through smog which means i unfortunately need to put cats on it. Not sure about a smog pump though as i dont see any where to attache one and dont see it on the emission diagrams any where.

A wise man once told me , the first think you should buy ,after buying a k5...is a welder!
Was actually thinking about that t work last night, i dont know squat about welding but nows as good a time as any to learn i suppose

Best way to learn is by doing. Im still veeery amature at welding. But its only uphill when youre at the bottom!

Verry true. Was thinking about getting a decent but cheap welder at harbor freight. Any suggestions? I know theres different kinds of welders but no clue the difference.

Look for used off Craigslist, take someone with you who knows what to look over
