Newbie with a few questions..

To gain lots of flex and lift in the front you can use stock rear springs which are 52". Talk to an exhaust shop before buying anything they will tell you exactly what to get or they might get you discounts. Dont be affraid to ask around locally about the shops and find out who is the best. If you are doing single exit or double exit with a y-pipe you will only need one cat also. And it is better to have them build the y pipe so it fits nice and tight with the whole system.

Think im gonna go with a single 2.5 or 3 inch. Okay i get it, 52 in the front so thats what 4.3 inches? What about the rear? Also, i notice also that along with the springs i have one shock per wheel... my dad suggested i have a second one added to each wheel, is it nessecary? Ill talk to my mechanic when i get the thing inspected.

Nope definately dont need second shocks. There are all kinds of good cheap suspension tricks. If you havent done it yet check out http://www.diy4x.com and http://www.offroaddesign.com . They cater to the chevy market and are really great businesses with excellent customer service. The sooner you get your membership the sooner you will be schooled in all things K5 :) .

It is an addiction that eats at your wallet too, and there are right and wrong ways to do some things, but most things are how you want to build it. Just do a lot of research and decide what is right for you and have fun doing it!

this is true, hopefully i wont go super crazy, just want the life and exhaust, but them im probably gonna do body work and paint too..
