I have browsed thru here a few times, but i finally saved my allowence and paid the 25 bones to join.
I own a 1972 blazer. Its a money pit. It all started 1 year ago when i bought this rig, looked killer, had a brand new powder coated motor. mild 7" of lift, some 35" BFG's and fairly clean. It had some issue's but nothing to major.
1 month later: blew the motor (broken push rods, 3 lobes left on cam). New crate motor took out the tranny, and the new tranny took out the rear end. Anyway that was the beginning of a domino train. I now own a $20K blazer thats worth 1/3 of that.:D

Oh well, it's fun to play with. The rig currently has 11" of lift with 225x75x15 so it is funny looking. but I just bought 3/4 ton running gear and 39x18 mickeys for it. So by next summerI'm hoping to be back on the road again.

A few pics of what i have:

This is how the rig sits today:

Welcome to the jungle!! Very nice rig you have there. One day my rig will look that good!! How far are you from I-84? I live in Boise, ID. You ever race your 'Vette at Firebird Raceway?

Welcome over, glad ya joined up.

How's the conversion coming along? Any issue's so far?

As noted i have purchase the d44 and 14bolt as well as some 39x18 mickeys. the front is pretty much done although i haven't got the high steer worked out yet. the rear is pretty much still sitting the way i bought it. So i should be starting that soon.
