will a steering box from a newer 4wd ifs truck work for cross-over steering?
thanks

Well since they mount on the inside of the frame the only way it would work is to box the frame and mount it on the inside of the frame. Then You have the problem of your steering box being a couple inches out of line with the steering shaft and probably engine clearance problems. Oh and You would have to chop out a cross member do do it. :D

You wouldnt have to use the whole box, you could just use the sector shaft. I was actually going to try this with my buddies 98 box. We looked it over and from what I rememebr the holes where the shaft bolts to the box was all the same and the length was the same also, as for if it will actually work, youd have to see for yourself.
