Nice E-bay find! Cummins crew cab

Aww crap...if I had seen that back in June when I bought my 99 I would be ALL OVER THAT! I wanna build one almost exactly like that someday, but it will be a dually like this.

theres higher production numbers for the '94-'98s and theres loads of clapped out trucks with P7100 pumped engines in them. around here you have to go out of your way to find 1st gen trucks. the 2nd gen 12v trucks are everywhere. I've parted out 3 '94-'98 12v dodges just cause I can. thats why I'm wondering. Is it different in the US or something? :dunno:

Ok, I misunderstod you.
I thought you didn't like the VE-pumps, so I had to defend them:D

But I see your point, the newer trucks are more common here as well.

Most of the ones I find are VE pumps. Most of the 94-98 Dodges are still in the road & the prices are too high to buy them just for the Engine.

What years are a good swap and which are mechanical?

Both 12v versions are mechanical but the 1st gens are way more affordable around here. I originally wanted a 4bt for my swap but they are even more money and harder to find. Since I started my swap I have seen several vehicles for sale that would have been way cheaper to buy than building my own but what the hey it's more fun this way.:rolleyes:I would just buy one if I were to do it again much smarter but then again I'm putting a rotary 12v in a k5 so I'm obviously an idiot:D
