Nice rig but $13K?

I dunno, his truck went unsold for well over a year in a better economy. It wasn't through lack of advertising, it went unsold on eBay several times. Was Craig shrewd? Definitely! Lucky, probably. Is his K5 worth more? definitely...but not $8K more and it's a rarer, 100% correct survivor rather than a mix/match build on a more common truck.

Don't get me wrong, i love this white truck...it's just my opinion that it's very overpriced for what it is and how it is built. I see a lot of time and effort on components that aren't worth their weight in scrap on this truck. That doesn't add value for me. specifically SBC, 10/44 front, 203. Even with receipts i'm not gonna feel confident it's a 383 until I can pull a head and measure the stroke. With a BBC even if it's a 396 you're still good IMO.

I'm a Truck guy Blazers have never been my thing so this may skew my thinking, But its a nice truck that you could get in and drive every day you dont need Doublers and a Dana 60 front to drive to work and go to home Depot!! its not a show truck its a nice driver If I was looking for a nice truck like that I'd seriously consider it ( I'd offer 9500 and go up from there)

Ya see, already you're knocking $4K off the guys price...

My guess, he goes a few months without selling, softens his price and eventually sells for closer to $7500-$8000.

I work off of production numbers, and the pick-ups numbers are a lot bigger than the K5's. That makes the K5's worth inherently more, particularly the full convertable years.

Still love ya man...but you got too much money. :haha:

LOL no I just have restored enough of these trucks to know what it really costs and how much aggravation it is .:doah::doah:

and now I work so much its worth it to me to just buy them already nice and tinker with the minor stuff lol:D

I never said I wouldn't haggle, its just a fair starting point :waytogo:

if I really liked the truck , and he wouldn't budge I would seriously consider giving him asking price

I wouldn't say I got a good deal though lol

LOL.... 14.5k for that blazer? Out of his fu*king mind. And that white truck is nice, but I couldn't possibly see it going for more than 8k.

thats one badass looking truck

Price is a little high I think, but most would be very hard pressed to build something as nice as that appears, for what he is asking.

I wouldn't buy it but a longbed truck is nothing special to me.

But it is a super nice truck.

It seems like in the last 5 years prices of very nice examples of these squares have gone up alot.

But dang that is a nice truck

I'm wondering y someone would make an offer of $9500 and go up from there...I'm sure I've got more money in mine than he does...someone would have to b insane to pay that amount of $$$ for something that isn't restored to original or at least upgraded to the best parts...just .02

If that truck is a true '75, it would have external lockouts on a 3/4 ton.

I don't understand why he's got covered center caps on the front if its got lockouts. Defeats the purpose of being able to lock and unlock them.

The bottom line …… That truck will sell for 13K in the next few months if the guy is not desperate. I would bet money on it. If I could sell my K5 right now... I would look at buying it

It's basically just a common truck with "pretty" white paint on the body and a painted chassis...

The thing still has a np203, must not have a P/T kit installed yet.

Anyone that thinks it's worth 13K is nuts.

It's a standard, boring, long bed regular cab that is a dime a dozen, with a nice paint job (but it's white, of all colors to choose from), most likely rustoleum black on the chassis, and a fresh drivetrain.

Does anyone else notice the interior in it is basically junk? The door panels, outside of being wrong vintage, look like something he found at his local pick and pull. They are dirty, dingy, and kinda gross.....

It needs an actual interior job done, that would really help the value.

IMHO, $5500 for it as it sits, maybe as much as $7500 with the interior restored. A completely finished truck inside and out is worth a LOT more than a truck that is 85% finished.

I would hope the 203 was already converted since the truck does have lockouts on it. If not, the lockouts have to remain in "locked" position to make the truck move.

I'd be not be surprised if he sold it for 12K. Its a nice looking rig. After pricing out paint and body work on my K5 I could understand offering 8K.

There is always some great deals out there for those willing to travel and wheel & deal.

There is also always someone willing to pay top dollar for a nice rig who really does not feel the effects of writing a check for 10K or 13,5K.

I've been seeing some more 'richer' folks buy nice old clean trucks that have been fixed up just like this. Its kind of a 'new' thing, like old Ford Bronco's and Chevy 67-72 stuff.
