nimak5 Build Thread

Put in a new fuel pump today since my truck wasn't starting due to no fuel getting to the carb. After doing so, still no fuel. After all this, found out a squirrel chewed through my fuel line.... Well now I have a new fuel pump...

I know that probably sucks right now, but that is still pretty freaking funny :haha:. One day you will laugh at that. Seats look good though

Thanks guys. Next step is building bumpers and a roll cage. I'm ordering a JD2 Model 32 on Friday and looking for a good deal on a Millermatic.
 
Picked this guy up on CL. Just accumulating parts until I build my cage and bumpers.

Another CL purchase today... Got a decent deal and won't need any home modifications with the 120V. The plan is to sell it immediately after I'm done. It should do the job for now. Came with a tank, cart, the works, but will sit in my crawl space for now. One more paycheck and I'll be ordering the tube bender and notcher.

Because I want a 211. I just haven't found a good one on craigslist so went ahead with this one until I find a 211
 
Scored big on CL today and got 150' of 1.75x0.12 DOM tubing for cheap and the guy even delivered it. Gotta love the craigslist app. Just texts you when something you want posts on craigslist. Probably will need more, but this will get me most of the way there. Also made a second CL purchase and picked up 36' of 2X2X.12 square tubing for rock sliders. Can't wait to get started. Just need my bender and notcher, which I should be ordering here in the next week or two.

Got the top off and went for a cruise... Perfect weather here all week and had to do it. Plus this will get me motivated to start building the cage because I sure as heck don't want to spend the time getting the top back on...

When are you planning on starting the cage? I am getting close to purchasing some tube and building my cage/rear bumper. What size tube/thickness were you gonna use?
