1/2 ton status
This is an AZ M1008 I bought 2 months ago. I took the 1 ton axles for my K5. I bought 3/4 ton axles from a friend and put the front D44 under it so far.It has a 14ff w/ detroit locker (still waiting to put under the M1008)and 4.10 gears and a welded D44 (new brake calipers and pads) w/ 4.10 gears. This truck has the original Diesel engine w/ 50K original miles. It has a TH400 and NP208.
With a lift and some 35" tires this could be a great wheeling machine. There are a few minor problems such as it leaks oil around the oil pan and the axle seals are leaking on the front axle. The gas and oil gage do not work.
The interior is in decent shape, the dash is cracked pretty good and the seat has cracks in it.
The tranny shifts into second kind of hard, but I have not looked into a fix, but all the other gears shift smooth and it down shifts on the column like normal.
It has tires and rims off of a newer 3/4 or 1 ton chevy with a full size good spare.
I have a clear title. I could deliver within a reasonable distance if you pay for Diesel for my towrig or if you pay the full asking price.
As it sits right now I haven't pulled the rear 14ff yet, but will in the next week or two.
The PO changed the glow plugs about 1500 miles ago, other than that I am not sure what maintanace has been done to it.
