Help.

Truck ran and died as I was parking it.

Now I have none of the stuff in the title. It will crank, but the fuel pump is not running when I turn the truck to run. Jump the relay and pump runs.

So I know that the problem for starting the truck is getting power from ECM to the relay, but I seem to have no power anywehre.

All the fuses are good. I've replaced or bypassed all the fusible links....

Replaced the ignition control module.

There was an alarm, I removed it. The crazy thing was that when I was messing with that, it did go into alarm mode, and triggered the hazards while I had the truck in run, I could hear the fuel pump priming each time the hazards and headlights flashed....cant make that happen now though.

This is cross posted in the injection section, but I'm stuck here.

Sounds like there is still an issue with the alarm that is causing your problem.

Recheck EVERY wire twice that the alarm was hooked to and i'll bet you find the problem.

Ok, alarm wiring was spliced in, so it was fairly easy to remove. I don't think there is anything I've missed there.

everything that was dealing with alarm, remote entry is back together.

I am not getting power from the ECM to the pump relay....ECM1 and ECM B fuse is good.

got it, both red wires going into bulkhead connector should be hot all the time. Wired them strait up to battery and fuel pump and lights work again, started right up.

now to put everything back together....and have a beer or six.

Was this something to do with the alarm that was disconnected or something?

no....I'm not sure if there is another fusible link on that line or not...it is the red wire going in the top left of the bulkhead connector.

However....it looks like my alternator is now smoked. Not seeing **** from it, so, maybe that killed that link. At least I can get it out to KoH now. I've got use of a pit tent for a couple of days before the rest of the team shows up, and a couple of spare alts on the shelf.
