I've got an 81 K10 Sub. Wanted to know how bad it would be if I ditched the front sway bar?? It will not be a daily driver but will see some road time getting to and from hunting spots. And I don't want to put on any kind of quick disconnect kit. Would it be too dangerous for a truck this big?? It has a 3" front and 4" rear lift with 33x10.5s. Can anyone help?

take it off and drive it around and if you dont like it then put it back. I bet it will be fine without it in.

Swaybar, whats that?

Oh, that thing I threw in the trash can about 5 years ago. Now I remember :D . I ditched mine awhile back and never looked back. I did notice a little more body roll at first and a little more nosedive at first under heavy brakeing but within a couple days I never noticed a thing anymore. That was with soft 2.5" lift springs. I now have a little stiffer 4" springs and I really don't notice it.

Ditched mine when I went crossover. I can tell though in the twisties while going over the Sierras to wheel. Lots of body roll. If you don't have a crossover setup, and don't plan on one, I'd do the quick disconnect deal.

I got rid of mine. Rides tons better, flexes better and lost some bump steer from the binding. I have 4" w/ 33's and it's my daily driver.

Swaybars?....We dont need no stinking swaybars! I took mine off several years ago, I,ve got 4"rancho springs on the front and they are pretty stiff, plus very heavy custom front bumper with an old warn 10,000lb. winch in it use to be my dd, on the road I coulnt notice much of a differance with it gone.

I was really skeptical about losing mine, but I really wanted to run a crossover steering. I finally decided to do it and I haven’t looked back. The day after I installed the crossover steering, I took my truck on a 2000 mile road trip. I didn’t really notice any more body roll. I’d say there was some, but I can’t say that there wasn’t any body roll with the sway bar. What I did notice was improved steering response and control with the crossover steering. It was well worth it on my daily driver.

I took mine off when it was stock, it was kinda of crazy sometimes
but when I put my tuff country 4" on, it seemed to help the body roll
I think my truck is fine with out it, I love the flex :)
