Noisy headers? *Update, big gaping hole! I must be blind. Pictures...

Craig, you're lucky you didn't get gassed, pass out and crash.

Yeah I know but it has to have been that way for awhile. I've been annoyed by the sound of my exhaust ever since I got it. Now I love it. I've never smelled one hint of exhaust fumes in the cab with the top on or off I must have seamless (rust-free) floorboards...

Well I buttoned up the hole to get me by until I get my manifolds. Man is it NICE & QUIET . Now I can enjoy the low, throaty tone of my Super Turbos and not the open header underneath my front floorboard.

So nice to be able to get on the gas a little and not wake up the dead in the graveyard across town.

Did you just patch and weld? Found a hole in my hookers as well and not sure what to do... I've seen some of that exhaust tubing that wraps around your "holy" pipes for a temporary fix at the auto parts store but I'm not sure it's up to the job. Wanted to see how yours were holding up

I replaced those headers last March. Long gone.

I used one of those goopy fiberglass resin patch kits. You put a little metal screen over the hole and then spread the goop all over it and let it cure. Then I put a piece of aluminum (pop can maybe) over the whole area with hose clamps. It held, but did start leaking again before I junked the headers.

I would guess that the fix would have only lasted about a year. Get new headers.
