If it rained like it did when my father and I went to eat at The Brahma one evening, you better stay off the cycle.
I was driving my Torino, and had the ignition system waterproofed. I had done my Jeep because I crossed rivers in it, and had some left over.
There was a cop standing on top of his drowned cruiser waving cars back. I eased up to him while he was jumping up and down trying to warn me off. I rolled down the window and asked if he wanted a lift.
He just stared and said no.
The water was almost up to my hood, so I moved slow to prevent a big bow wake and pulled into the parking lot.
They had built a dam out of towels at the door to stop the place from filling up with water.
Since everybody there was afraid to leave, it was almost full and things were getting a little drunk out.
Everybody else had eaten, so the staff took turns waiting on us.
Great steaks, and about the time we finished, the water had gone down enough for us to get out OK.
Nice place to eat. I was sorry when I heard it went under.
Next Monday, I took my car into the Ford place and convinced them to change the grease in the rear end.
They did not want to, because they said it did not need it after only 10k.
Then, when they found water, they wanted to tear it down and find the bad seal.
I told them to just clean out the water, put in fresh grease and give me the bill.
Never had any problems with it in over 250K of darn hard miles.......
