NON Chevy’s in the Wild

Most of the time I ever have to load a trailer being pulled by one of those condo’s-on-wheels they have all kinds of weight issues and restrictions.

Can't see that being practical as an money maker OTR rig.

Was thinking granpa's too cool for a toter home so he got this instead, but no RV lettering so you're probably right.

Those are almost always what we see transporting jet engines around the country. It’s definitely a niche rig.

Many of these guys don't do regular/broker hauls. Dedicated freight. Overall weight is an issue, along with total length. Mayflower has dedicated runs with IBM and some companies. hung out with a bunch of them at an IBM plant in NY. definitely got me a little jelly! impressive rigs.

They are very popular with movers, these guy are on the road for a month, and usually they don't have the weight needs so the extra weight of the truck is not an issue.
I couldn't have done my produce with those, I needed to haul anywhere between 42k and 44k

We don’t see too many at all but they always have some special requirement about too much on the nose of the trailer or whatever. Annoying shit.

When I shipped the big military trucks on low boy’s and RGN’s 10+ years ago they were more common and even more annoying.

A buddy sent me this pic. Not quite out in the wild, but...
There's about 1500 cars sitting in a field in Pauls Valley, OK. The old man owned a dealership and put surplus used cars in his field over the years and let them sit.
There's a bit of everything. Old man passed and his grand kids are selling everything off.
All the muscle car and square body stuff is spoken for, but there's a lot of El Caminos and Rancheros left.

77 Jeep Grand Wagoneer, 401, ac, leather, tilt, pw/pdl with 40k on it. Last registered in early 80's.

I remember as a kid in the 80's talking about one of those huge cab semis while riding in dad's.
He told me about the weight issues and limited payloads and such way back then. Every time I see one I think of that conversation lol.

Here's a couple of overlanders I seen about an hr ago.

I’m not hating that 4Runner’s generic aftermarket rear bumper for some reason.
