NON Chevy’s in the Wild

Found a dent side F-150 still seeing regular street duty.

And one for the station wagon lovers.

Ya can’t tell it but the Bronco has 44” Swamper TSL’s on it.

The Bronco behind the Vette passed me on the road and was fly’n down the highway - it must be one of those Coyote conventions and it was beyond perfect looking.

The JEEP is a CJ-8 and appears to have full-size axles in it - I hope the hood scoop on it is covering a worthy motor and not just for looks.

The 89~95 Yota sport’n the old man style cap out back - actually it looked to be a work’n fishing truck and that cap is most likely very functional.

@tarussell I’ve never noticed the raised roof version.
Also, the lack of front fender side heat exhaust vent extractors means it’s a diesel engine - either a 2H or 12HT.
Both of those engines are legendary for long term reliability.

The mirrors are just awkward too (looks like they moved them). I'm surprised it doesn't have the usual small side marker light towards the rear of the fenders.

The forward mounted mirrors I think are only a JDM ( Japanese Domestic Market ) thing but you can see some mounting holes on the drivers door so I don’t know what’s goin on there.
The side marker light placement on the rear of the front fender is a European thing if I’m not mistaken but I’m not certain of that.

Also, most diesel models came with a full-floater rear axle and this one has a semi-floater so I don’t know what’s up with that either.

Only thing wrong with those was the 3.slow v6 some of em had. Gutless and died randomly when the water pump decided to eat the timing belt.
I miss my 91 4runner so bad.... It's still the one vehicle I did more wheeling in than anything else I've ever owned.
I always thought that a swap to the newer yota V6, or even a SC 3.8 or NA 4.3 GM, and it'd be perfect for years to come.
Ive contemplated building just such a thing so I can wheel on the jeep only trails. The ones around here will allow em.
