NON Chevy’s in the Wild

You're forgetting AMC jeep

I have a buddy that used to have a Jeep J10 with Quadratrac, his th400 had a loooooong 10 spline tailshaft. :eek1: He swapped the shaft and converted it to a 205 using GM parts (as opposed to a conversion kit).

That was a fun truck to drive - 38’s or 39.5’s ( can’t remember now ) and 5.38’s and lunchbox lockers front & rear - I don’t think it had the 205 in it when doing the gears ( I had no part in choosing the lunchbox stuff ).

As far as the TH400 stuff I think ZINMER76 was just referring to European offerings but if memory serves me it also came in Checker Cabs, Avanti, Rambler and all kind of industrial equipment - great design for a mid-sixties introduction.

Yeah, that shaft goes all the way to the end of the tcase and goes to a range box.
Some had no range box and were single speed.

That's what my dad was building. A romancing the stone bronco (semi) replica.
He had an 81 that he got an 83 body shipped up from Arizona for.
Pained it black, 4" lift, outlaw II wheels, 33"s, and a 393 stroker.

Then it's started rusting again, and he traded it off for a crappy minivan and $400 the dude never gave him.
Van broke down the same week, and the other dude wrecked the bronco a few days after the trade.:doah:

I think that Bronco used in the movie was named “Little Mule” or “Little Pepe” ?
It’s been many a moon since I saw that movie.

Early Bronco was way cool and good to see it being driven out in the wild ( or at least on the streets ).

The mid-nineties F-150 4x4 was very clean !

Can someone please explain to me why folks driving convertibles don’t roll those small back windows down ?!?!?

It’s hard to tell in the pic but this mini-Fire truck was real - maybe it worked at Disney in the “It’s a small world after all” area; anyone know what these were built for ?

For some reason lately I’ve seen a few of these old HIGH DOLLAR Porsche 911 ( or whatever variant ) driving around town - good to see them being driven instead of being a garage queen.

The Mustangs were actually a block away from each other when I took the pics - the neighbor of the ‘65/‘66 ( ? ) said that the lady that lived there has owned it since new.
