Not a Fitech-Now a Sniper 2 and boat anchor

Iirc, the Softopper uses a snap strip across the top of the windshield frame. Do you recall what the STC used?

I'm wanting to make a bikini top but I'd rather use the factory channel instead of a snap strip.

The STC top has a edge you slide the canvas into and then fold it over. All of their edges worked this way.

Ok, that's like our old Jeep top. I was hoping it in some way puzzle pieced in to the top weatherstrip grooves.

Accel ceramic plugs are trash. I'm glad the second one failed before I opened the package for the replacement of the first. Their support is ass too. The crimped end rips off the wire, even if it isn't stuck to the plug. You can spin the ceramic end before you pull and the crimp still fails.

i have had three sets do it, current ones are doing better but they cost more than the 25 dollar sets

one set a wire just popped off, it started running funny and when i stoped i found it on the manifold

Alright. This is some straight bullshit.

I replaced my valve cover gaskets with new ones apparently made out of fishnet.

I assume they are under torqued. What would you guys torque a stamped steel valve cover over a rubber gasket to?

I’ve always liked the Felpro Performance cork/shim laminated gaskets, the seal really well.

Good spreaders are another must. Try getting some factory spreaders for a mid 80’s sbc, they are 4”-5” long with an arch - these will not bend negative like aftermarket chrome stuff.

Exactly

Thanks @skunked , fwiw those spreaders also work on the bottom row of a bbc valve cover. They are a little long for the end bolts but I heated and curved them, work like a charm!
