Not enough reach with engine hoist

Gantry crane is the way to go here. Not a huge Harbor freight fan but I bought theirs for this purpose with the discounts it was cheaper than I could buy the steel to make one. The engine crane is fine on cars, stock trucks or if the front clip is off. Probably get rid of my engine crane at some point.

The only problem with the HF ones is their not wide enough to fit over my dualy bed or my trailer. So I had to make mine, ended up spending $400ish on steel and casters I already had the air hoist......Even painted it Ford blue.
